Rebrew

The detoxed second brain.

Why now

We live in an age of over-designed productivity. Every tool claims to make you faster, more organized, more efficient. But somewhere along the way, the tools we used to support our minds became another source of mental clutter.

Note-taking apps now come with databases, integrations, team collaboration layers, and AI plugins—features that look powerful on paper, but often distract more than they help. The pressure to build a perfect system, to choose the right template, to organize before you even start thinking—it’s all too familiar.

These tools were built with good intentions. But they’ve become places where we perform productivity, rather than engage in thought. Instead of helping us think, they demand we manage. And that’s the problem.

Rebrew is our answer. A detoxed second brain. A space to capture ideas without judgment, to return to what matters without feeling behind, and to write without needing to explain it to anyone else. It’s built for people who think better when the pressure is off.

What we made

Rebrew isn’t here to replace your calendar, your team dashboard, or your file system. It’s not trying to be everything. It’s designed to be one thing: the clearest, calmest space to think, document, and return to your ideas.

We tested dozens of systems. We chose three that actually helped:

With these, you don’t need to organize your brain before you use it. Rebrew lets your thoughts take shape at their own pace.

Who made this

Rebrew was built by a dumb with ADHD who spent years building intricate systems to wrangle scattered thoughts and fast-changing interests. Databases, backlinks, color-coded dashboards, productivity hacks—you name it, he tried it. For a while, it felt like progress.

But eventually, he realized: he wasn’t thinking anymore. He was configuring. Optimizing. Reformatting yesterday’s notes instead of facing today’s ideas. Stuck in a loop of productivity porn—chasing the illusion of clarity instead of actually feeling it.

Then he remembered the early 2000s. When he used to think clearly. When he would fill notebooks without overthinking formatting. When he could focus for hours without a single notification. When the tools didn’t get in the way.

Rebrew is a return to that. A way to get back to thinking, without needing a system to do it.

It was also built by another dumb—who spent 12 years making software, launching startups, chasing the bleeding edge. Until one day he looked up and asked himself, “Would I want my kid using the tools I’ve built?” The honest answer was no.

He had built sleek dashboards. Addictive UIs. Seamless tracking tools. And yet—he felt more scattered than ever. Consuming more than creating. Watching more than thinking. Bookmarking more than reading. And slowly, losing touch with the simple joy of writing something down and sitting with it.

Rebrew is what happens when two people stop optimizing and start listening. A quiet refusal to keep sprinting toward distraction. A little rebellion against FOMO, against the dopamine loops, against the cynicism baked into the digital age.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about noticing more. It’s not about being organized. It’s about being present.

Manifesto

We believe thinking should feel lighter. That ideas don’t need to be organized before they’re ready. That clarity comes not from more structure, but from fewer obstacles.

Rebrew doesn’t ask you to perform. It doesn’t ask you to be neat. It asks you to show up, as you are, and keep going.

We believe note-taking is not a design challenge. It’s a thinking one.

Rebrew is not here to help you optimize your brain. It’s here to give it space.
